Russians hacked British Airways: Flights stopped


It was stated that Russian hackers hacked the systems of the British airline company British Airways.
The official website of British Airways is currently unavailable. While it is claimed that the systems of British Airways were hacked by Russian hackers, all operations of the company from Heathrow Airport were stopped.

Russian airspace closed to British aircraft!


Russia's Federal Aviation Authority (Rosaviatsiya) announced that restrictions were imposed on British aircraft from using Russian airspace, including transit flights.
After British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the Russian state airline Aeroflot would be banned from its operations in the UK, there was a counter step from Moscow.

"From 11:00 Moscow time on 25 February 2022, aircraft owned, chartered or operated by UK-affiliated persons or registered in the UK, including transit flights over Russian airspace," said Rosaviatsitya. "Restrictions have been imposed on flights to points on Russian territory," it said

British Airways continues to retire its B747s



 
British Airways retired two more aircraft from its Boeing 747 fleet.

While the continuation of the pandemic causes the airline companies to shrink in their fleets, high-cost wide-body aircraft are at the forefront during retirement.

Boeing 747 and Airbus 380 type aircrafts had already begun to be removed from the fleets of giant airlines due to cost.
 
British Airways retired the tenth G-CIVK tail registered aircraft and the eleventh Boeing 747-400 aircraft with the G-BYGE tail registered in this context.
